This recipe is to pour over the Chicken Fried Chicken but can be used for breakfast biscuits too, sausage and biscuits. Suzy uses chicken italian sausage but you can use andouille sausage too, if it is available in your area.
We love going to a restaurant called the Dat Cajun Place in Panama City Beach.
Suzy’s favorite is the chicken fried chicken. It is so delicious! Cajun andouille sausage gravy over fried slabs of chicken and a bed of rice. The chef calls them chicken strips. Suzy calls them slabs because they are huge!
Living in North Dakota or Minnesota there is nothing better on a cold day in winter, 20 to 30 below zero often times, then a big bowl of soup, This recipe is for the broth. Noodles will be added in Episode 12.
Suzy and Sharon wanted a way to share recipes and some of their adventures with family and friends. Heck why not with the world. They both like to cook, craft and travel but usually have two very different ways of doing things. So they started this vlog (a blog with lots of videos). They especially like to make a dish for instance roasted chickens or pumpkin pie but use different recipes and methods to achieve the end result. It can be comical with the measuring, chopping or the mishaps that ensue, it is for the fun of it and to just have fun. We won’t say who is older but one did teach the other how cooking should be done whether or not they follow it is another thing. Suzy lives in North Dakota, Sharon lives in Minnesota (she moved from Fargo ND after living there oddles of years). They both go south to escape the frigid cold from their respective states. It has been Panama City Beach, Florida but that can change from year to year, one flying one place and the other driving another or ??? Life is always adventure with these two!
