How to make caramel cinnamon rolls

two yummy easy recipes even kids can make

Caramel rolls are a Midwest favorite, at least they are in North Dakota and western Minnesota, get to the Twin Cities and you may have a hard time finding them.  They may have originated as a German from Russia treat.   No matter how they came into existence they are creamier than a sticky bun and you can find them at many restaurants in North Dakota besides the holiday breakfast table. Heck we don’t need a holiday to feast on them.

The Sisters of the Spoon’s mom was an excellent baker.  She frequently made caramel rolls, making the dough from scratch.  Suzy’s are more traditional style like their mom’s but easier using frozen cinnamon rolls.  Sharon uses ice cream rather than heavy cream, which give hers a more vanilla flavor.  Both are so easy to make and a real family pleaser or in Sharon’s case a campground friend pleaser.  Both are delicious.  Let us know in the comments which recipe you try.

The #SistersoftheSpoon have two very different approaches to cooking.  Suzy tends to like fast, easy and not a lot of prep.  Sharon loves the prep and presentation of cooking.
