Suzy tries a “healthier” approach using peanut butter rather than butter, no flour, ground oatmeal providing more fiber balancing the sugar content. Sharon makes a traditional cookie, the classic, the best? Both are delicious.

Ingredients
1 Cup Jif Chunky Peanut Butter
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup quick cooking rolled oats finely ground
2 large eggs
1/2 bag of mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
- With mixer cream peanut butter, sugar
- Mix in eggs and vanilla
- Stir in oats and chips, baking soda, scoop or spoon onto cookie sheets
- Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 5 to 8 minutes depending how big you make them

Ingredients
1 cup butter flavored shortening
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp
2 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Grease your pans
- Cream Sugars
- Add eggs one at a time
- Add vanilla
- Sift dry ingredients
- Gradually stir into batter
- Fold in chips
- Scoop or spoon onto cookie sheets
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes
